描述 核细颗粒样染色在部分间期细胞中呈细胞周期依赖性荧光染色。所有阳性细胞中均呈现纹理均匀的颗粒样荧光,故该模型不属于多形性模型。初步研究表明,阳性染色细胞处于细胞周期的S期和G2期,而处于G1期的细胞则不显色。分裂中期细胞染色体板阴性或仅见极微弱的外周细颗粒染色。所有细胞中均未观察到核仁染色或核粗颗粒染色。 Fine speckled nuclear staining that is cell-cycle dependent in a portion of interphase cells. The texture of the speckled pattern is uniform in all cells; therefore, this is not classified as a pleomorphic pattern. Preliminary studies indicate that stained cells are in the S and G2 phases of the cell cycle, but those in the G1 phase, are not stained. The metaphase plate is either not stained or has very weak peripheral fine speckled staining. There is no staining of nucleoli or coarse speckled nuclear staining in any cell.

Currently this SG2NA protein is now known as striatin-3 isoform 2, an alternatively spliced form missing exon 8 and 9 in the full-length striatin-3 isoform 1. Human anti-striatin sera, however, do not show any consistent staining in HEp-2 IFA [4]. Further research is needed.
